Looking back at the last 10 months of the pandemic and lockdown, I realize that I got through it with a lot of help from the many streaming services I subscribe to. But in August I realized that I was paying a monthly fee for several streamers that I hadn’t watched for months.
One of the pricier ones was Disney Plus. But I held onto it until the Mandalorian Season 2 dropped the other week. When it dropped, I set myself the task of watching the first season but walked away from it after two episodes and cancelled the streaming service.
Then I cancelled CBS All Access after watching every episode of every season of Survivor. However, I might have to resubscribe on December 17th when Stephen King’s new The Stand comes out as a miniseries. I’ll wait for the critics to weigh in first.
My wife Karen suggested we drop Apple TV since we haven’t watched anything on that service in ages.
It seems that it doesn’t take long to go through a streaming service and watch the shows and movies you want to see then drop it for half a year or more until they get something new to watch.
Are you subscribing to a bunch of streaming services or do you pick a different one every couple of months? Do you feel they are good value for your money?
