A search for a missing person ended in tragedy last night in Western Shore.
Emergency services were called to search for a hunter who had been reported as missing last night shortly before 10 pm.
Sgt. Andrew Joyce, public information officer with the RCMP says a search and rescue team had been called in, but were called off shortly after.
“The search ended fairly quickly and he was located hours later deceased,” he said.
Joyce says the 73-year-old Lunenburg man’s passing was not suspicious and appeared to be medical in nature.
