RCMP Now Consider Death of Pine Grove Man A Homicide

The suspicious death of a Lunenburg County man is now being investigated as a homicide.

RCMP say they are now looking for suspects in the death of 57-year-old Pine Grove man Donny Lohnes.

When asked, RCMP were not willing to share what shifted their focus from a suspicious death to a homicide investigation.

Police were informed of Lohnes’ injuries on Oct. 30 after they were called to South Shore Regional Hospital for a patient who was found injured a few days earlier.

Lohnes was found in his home on Jippie Avenue on Oct. 25, and passed due to his injuries shortly after on Nov. 1.

Anyone with information on what happened to Lohnes is asked to contact the RCMP or Nova Scotia Crime Stoppers.
