Crazy Covid Confessions

I haven’t mentioned Covid in ages, so I thought I would tell you about some of the goofy things I do because of it.

Now a lot of these don’t make sense, but some do.

For reasons unknown to me, the higher ups closed off our private entrance to the radio station and we have to enter through the public entrance which we share with a busy government operation. I wear my mask when entering, but I also hold my breath until I climb the stairs and get inside the radio station. I know this is kind of silly, as I would imagine that the air circulation is for the entire building.

Next, I rarely go to drive throughs but when I do I always have great intentions of wearing a mask when I get to the take out window but somehow always forget. The person in the window is wearing a mask, we are approximately close to six feet apart at some moment during the transaction, so I should probably slip my mask on for that, right? Even if all it does is make the person working the window feel a little more secure.

I avoid getting close to my wife who works in retail until she has been home for at least 30 minutes. This is totally crazy. The ‘vid doesn’t disappear in 3o minutes if you have it.

And, finally, have you ever gone to clear your throat and accidentally had it turn into a little cough? Yesterday when I was hitting the boardroom for a meeting, that happened to me. I thought the boardroom was empty but another coworker was right behind me. AND I DIDN’T COUGH INTO MY ELBOW! Now they are probably walking around thinking I am some kind of “Typhoid Mary”. And just who is this Mary that got saddled with being the “Karen” of her time?

Are there any strange things you do or think because of Covid?
