For years I’ve wondered why the rest of the world loves the tv show “The Office”. While the original two season British series has always been one of my favourite shows, when I tried to watch the first episode of the American one with Steve Carell I felt so uncomfortable watching it that I couldn’t even finish the show I was watching.
This snowy weekend my wife and I decided to give it another shot. We almost shut it down after the second episode but decided that maybe it gets better. And it has! We’re up to 8 episodes of the first season now and it just keeps getting better. I won’t give it top marks but I am now looking forward to watching more episodes tonight!
The other thing I didn’t like for most of my life was cottage cheese. A couple of years back I was in excruciating pain from leg cramps and a naturopathic doctor suggested that I needed to reduce carbs and increase protein, and I needed a good source of calcium to combat the leg cramps. She suggested cottage cheese.
I forced myself to eat it like medicine every day and now it’s my favourite daily food!
Now I’m wondering how many other things I’ve thought I didn’t like would actually become personal faves if I gave them a try.
