South Shore Public Libraries is offering assistance to those having difficulty booking their COVID-19 vaccines online.
The service is available to anyone with a valid Nova Scotia Health Card who needs help to book their vaccine, and those without internet access.
Troy Myers, Chief Librarian for South Shore Public Libraries said the idea came to him after talking to some local seniors about their booking experience.
“They were commenting on how confusing it was and a lot of them would like to talk to a real person,” said Myers. “We are also very aware that not everyone has internet access in Lunenburg and Queens County.”
He said the staff at South Shore Public Libraries have completed training to make the vaccine booking process quick and simple.
“It’s a walk-in service,” explained Myers. “The tests we did with staff and a couple of other people only took about 4 minutes.”
Vaccine booking help is available in person or over the phone at all South Shore Public Libraries locations in Lunenburg and Queens County including:
