If It Snows – Sorry… My Fault

I should know better, but I have an appointment to get my winter tires taken off.

Yes. I know. It will likely snow if I have them taken off too early. That’s the way nature works. It waits for us to get comfortable with what’s going on, then it throws us a curve ball.

But this year, I needed new all season tires anyway, so I figured I’d go ahead a bit early and get them early. Before the spring rush. I’d usually wait until later in April, but the weather has been warming up a bit. I’ve checked the extended forecast. I’ve asked small animals what they think. I’ve held my finger to the wind. There doesn’t seem to be snow on the way.

But that will probably change as soon as my tires do.

It will save a bit of tread on the snow tires, not running them in warmer weather, and if nature sees fit to throw a little late snow our way, at least I will have brand new all seasons with new treads ready to face the last sloppy bit of snow for the seasons.

Honestly, I hope it doesn’t happen. Even the government has recognized the fact our weather doesn’t really listen to them. You can leave studded tires on until the end of May now. That changed a few years ago. One of those years when winter refused to go away. It used to be the end of April, but they changed it to the end of May.

So I’m flipping the coin and hoping for the best. I really should know better.
