There are two Facebook groups I’ve joined that constantly send me into nostalgic bliss. Epic walks down Memory Lane every time I check them.
One is the All-Time List Of Halifax Bars which has lots of pictures and talks about bars, lounges, taverns and nightclubs from years gone by in the Hrm.
Many I’d completely forgotten about, but had visited at some point to catch a performer or band that was playing. Others I worked at for a night hosting an event, usually for charity.
The other group is History Of Maritime Bands. It’s chock full of bands from around the Maritimes who existed briefly and brought lots of joy to music fans on their travels. There are plenty of mentions of groups from Halifax to Yarmouth that may jog your memory.
Here’s the question for you – what is the most memorable night out at a tavern or club and who was the entertainment?
