RCMP: Man charged with attempted murder after car crashes into home

RCMP have charged a man with attempted murder after a car crashed into a home in Pictou on Saturday.

Police were called to Elm Drive at around 3 p.m. after they say the driver tried to hit someone standing on the front porch.

The Mounties say the driver took off, while a passenger remained on scene and was treated for non-life-threatening injuries. They say the victim had minor injuries.

Police later received reports the driver was running naked in the woods and had broken into a home and stolen a blanket. The 30-year-old was arrested on Wallis Street and taken to hospital.

Patrick Jordan Anthony McClellan is facing several other charges including dangerous operation of a conveyance, break and enter, theft, two counts of uttering threats, two counts of public nudity, as well as indecent act.

The investigation is ongoing.
