Snow On The Way; Schools Dismissing Early In Lunenburg, Queens

The South Shore is expected to get a dose of winter weather.

Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for Lunenburg and Queens counties.

Those areas are expected to get up to 15 centimetres of snow before it turns to showers or flurries late this afternoon.

The wind will gust up to 60 kilometres an hour.

Yarmouth and Shelburne counties are the only areas in Nova Scotia not under a snowfall warning.

Meanwhile, the South Shore Regional School Board has issued a statement saying schools in Lunenburg and Queens will be dismissed early today due to the weather.

Meanwhile, some schools in the Tri-County closed today.
