Boulders Installed at Oxners Beach To Prohibit ATVs

There was some confusion surrounding the installation of some new boulders near the entrance to Oxners Beach in Lower LaHave.

A Facebook post on a local community group indicated that a private resident installed the boulders to prohibit public access but that wasn’t the case.

The MODL has since confirmed they are responsible for the boulders which are intended to keep ATVs off of the surrounding property to prevent damage to the beach.

The plan is for the boulders to remain at the beach indefinitely.

The beach is open to the public but the MODL says it is considered private so anyone visiting the beach is asked to be respectful and clean up after themselves.
