Snow, freezing rain and rain are expected over the next 24 hours in much of Nova Scotia.
In Lunenburg and Queens counties, Environment Canada issued a special weather statement and is forecasting snow and ice pellets tonight.
That will change to rain overnight and continue for Tuesday.
Meanwhile in Shelburne, Yarmouth and Digby counties, there is a rainfall warning in effect.
Snow will begin tonight with a chance of ice pellets or freezing rain.
However, up to 40 millimetres of rain is expected to fall on Tuesday.
