Lunenburg Business Feels Good About Phase 5 Delay

Yesterday’s announcement from the provincial government to delay the final phase of the reopening plan until October 4th comes as good news for a local business.

Jamie Myra, Manager of Stan’s Dad and Lad in Lunenburg said that even if Phase 5 did go ahead, his family’s business would have still strongly encouraged their customers to wear masks.

“We felt that without the vaccine rule being in place yet and with all of a sudden masks being removed, we would have had over 2 weeks of a free for all,” explained Myra. “We quite honestly thought things wouldn’t go so great.”

Myra said he’s feeling good about the provinces decision,

“I fully support the postponement of phase 5 until October 4th, one hundred percent for my staff, myself, my friends, my family and my business,” Myra said.

Prior to Tuesday, Phase 5 was expected to start today.
