It was a wonderful morning at work. Maybe it’s a bit grey outside. Some may even find it a touch cool. But if anything is getting you down, you just need a kitten. Or eight.
The S.H.A.I.D. Tree Animal Shelter came by with kittens this morning. I do not consider myself a big cat person. I like to think of myself as more of a dog person. Cats do not seem to know this, nor do they care. Or maybe they do, and they are trying to change my opinion of them. You can never tell with cats. But sitting in a pile of kittens is good for everyone.
If you’re allergic to cat fur, it may not be the best, but even then, it has to rank right up there.
Kittens are fun to watch, fun to play with, and, as with most small animals, there’s just something about them that will suck you in.
The idea today was that we would gather with the kittens for a few minutes, and hopefully remember to talk about the S.H.A.I.D. lottery for this year. Maybe help sell a few tickets. We almost forgot about that part. Being in a pile of kittens can do that to you.
But tickets are available for the S.H.A.I.D. Lottery for this year. You can find further information on their Facebook or web pages. Yes, they have a couple nice prizes that could be won, but the important thing is to help the animals.
And if you ask nicely, they might even let you sit in a pile of kittens.
