With all the rumours swirling this week about Jennifer Aniston possibly buying a condo in Inverness, Cape Breton, I’ve had to “pretend” that I’m really interested in this story.
You see, over the summer my wife Karen and I started watching all of the Friends episodes. (I’d never seen more than one episode before)
Somehow, based on an off hand comment I made, Karen thinks I have this major crush on Jennifer and will make the “odd” critical remark about her to try to get a rise out of me.
And each time I steadfastly defend “poor” Jennifer.
Then when the new season of “The Morning Show” dropped on Apple TV + last week, she really turned it up a notch making observations like “she’s had some major plastic surgery and it didn’t go well” or “she’s really showing her age now” and I took the bait and really argued back that she’s seeing things and “Jennifer is perfect”.
Ha! The joke’s on her. My celebrity crush is Phoebe (Lisa Kudrow) . But don’t tell my wife. This has been too much fun!
