Shelburne teens arrested after waving toy gun near school

Two teens from Shelburne County have been arrested after a weapons call at a Shelburne school.

RCMP were called to Shelburne Regional High School during the noon hour Friday.

The two teens were reported in a vehicle waving a firearm near the Woodlawn Drive school.

Officers arrested the pair, without incident, a short time later.

RCMP found the firearm was a replica, and they seized eight more replica firearms.

The teens were released on conditions while the investigation continues.

They’re set to appear in Shelburne Youth Court on November 24.
