Our Athlete of the Week is 11-year-old Owen Lemaire of Mahone Bay, NS
Sports Organization: South Shore SeahawksOwen has been playing quarterback for the South Shore Seahawks since he was seven. He is a quiet and humble leader and well respected by his teammates. He LIVES for football – knows all the NFL players and stats – and loves playing for the Seahawks especially because it shares its name with his favourite NFL team, the Seattle Seahawks.
He always encourages his teammates, helps out his coaches and even helped design an offensive playbook for his team. He gives it his all on the field every time he steps foot on it and would be very proud to be honoured with Athlete of the Week!
