Province Announces Funding For Beautification Projects

Four projects on the South Shore have received funding from the Province’s Beautification and Streetscaping Program.

Up to 50% of the cost of eligible municipal projects will be funded by the provincial government for a maximum of $25,000.

The Program aims to draw more visitors by developing more attractive local areas.

The Town of Bridgewater will see $25,000 toward the Riverfront and Downtown Placemaking Initiative.

The Town of Mahone Bay is getting $25,000 for the Historic Bayview Cemetery Facade Restoration.

The Municipality of Lunenburg will also receive 25,000 for it’s Wayfinding Signage Implementation.

The Region of Queens Municipality will see $20,000 toward the Queens Coast Wayfinding project.
