We Maritimers love our Christmas candy!
I mean, we invented two of the best ones – Ganong’s in St Stephen, New Brunswick created “chicken bones” those pink cinnamon shells around bittersweet chocolate are the best!
Robertson’s out of Truro gave us “Barley Toys” , those clear candies that look so good put out for Christmas.
So many kinds of candy are a big part of Christmas in Maritime homes – Misty Mints, Terry’s Orange, the Neilson Will-O-Packs, Satin Mix, Quality Street.
And let’s not forget those Lifesaver books!
