Nova Scotia Announces 20 New Cases of COVID-19

The Province of Nova Scotia is reporting 20 new cases of COVID-19 and 34 recoveries.

It marks the first time since November 25 that Nova Scotia has seen a net decrease in case numbers.

Of the new cases, 12 are in the Central Zone and eight cases are in the Northern Zone.

Nova Scotia health also continues to monitor localized community spread in the Northern Zone, and there is also evidence of limited community spread in Halifax and other parts of northern Nova Scotia.

The province also released additional information on the vaccination status of the 98 cases reported between November 26 and December 2. Unvaccinated people made up the majority of cases with 62 per cent while 34 per cent were fully vaccinated. The remainder of the cases were reported in partially vaccinated individuals.
