A popular South Shore resort has announced it will close its doors for business until the end of January.
White Point Beach resort made the announcement in a post on Instagram on Sunday.
“After almost two years of relentless effort and sacrifice by the more than 130 team members of White Point, Covid-19 has finally crept past the Welcome Sign and a few members of our team, our ‘family’, have tested positive,” the resort shared in the Instagram post.
In the post, the resort said they felt it necessary to do their part in curbing the spread of COVID — driven by the highly contagious Omicron variant.
The resort shut down in March 2020 as the pandemic was getting underway; It reopened in June of 2020, but only to residents of the four Atlantic provinces.
