Get ready for more options to take to the skies again.
WestJet has announced it’s bringing back non-stop flights from Halifax to Europe.
The routes will fly out of the Halifax airport to Dublin, London, Glasgow, and Paris starting this spring.
“The return of direct routes to the United Kingdom, Paris and Dublin signals that Nova Scotia has reopened to the world,” says Premier Tim Houston in a news release.
The company says the goal is to put Nova Scotia back on the map and reestablish Halifax as the Atlantic Gateway travel hub.

The move is being praised by the Halifax International Aiport Authority which says it will help the region recover after a tough few years due to the pandemic.
“We’re thrilled to see WestJet reintroducing non-stop connections between Halifax Stanfield and Europe this summer as we work together to accelerate our community’s economic recovery,” says HIAA President & CEO Joyce Carter.
“Air connections are vital for the growth of regional tourism, trade, and immigration, and we appreciate WestJet’s commitment to our region and investment in these routes as we put Nova Scotia back on the map after two years of very little air travel activity.”
Daily flights to London Gatwick start on May 1st, along with flights for Dublin three times a week.
Beginning the next day, you can hop on a plane to Glasgow three times a week. Service to Paris launches on May 7th.
