World Sledge: Korean Player Calls Lunenburg County “Beautiful”

Korea has struggled on the ice at the World Sledge Hockey Challenge.

But that hasn’t stopped players from enjoying their time in Lunenburg County.

Forward Lee Jong-Kyung says Bridgewater is cold compared to Seoul, Korea.

Through a translator, he says people have been welcoming.

“Everyone was really kind to him and he thought everybody was really friendly to him as well.”

He says he has enjoyed the fresh air and beautiful landscape.

Jong-Kyung couldn’t name the different foods he’s eaten this week but says they were all delicious.

This is his first time in Nova Scotia and he hopes to see more heritage sites before heading home to Korea.
