Nova Scotia’s Mattea Roach Wins Fifth Straight Jeopardy! Game

Jeopardy’s ‘Canadian unicorn’ remains on top.

Mattea Roach, who is originally from Nova Scotia, won her fifth consecutive game last night on the popular US quiz show.

Guest host Ken Jennings was impressed with Roach’s technique on Final Jeopardy! saying she knew the question before he even finished reading.

It’s a good thing she knew the answer, as she trailed heading into the final round, but the leader answered incorrectly.

Roach finished the game with $12,600, and has a five-day total of over $117,000.

She’ll defend her title tonight.

Her win also qualified her for the Tournament of Champions.
