Today is April 22! It’s Earth Day, a day that that brings awareness to climate change and protecting the environment! This is actually the 50th anniversary of Earth Day it started back in 1970! There is this pretty cool search engine that helps save the word one tree at a time. Apparently it uses the ad profits on planting trees all around the world. Now there are some other simple ways to help out the environment other then just surfing the web. After some research I made a quick list of some of the easiest!
- Don’t run the water while brushing your teeth
- Turn lights and electronics off while not using them
- Pick up any trash you see not just your own
- Consider planting a garden and use your compost as fertilizer
- Pay bills and get flyers online to cut back on paper
Some of these are pretty straight forward and easy but I mean if we all did like two of these everyday we would probably be in better shape! Right now the environment is probably the last thing on your mind which is very understandable. Keep it in the back of your mind though and try and do your part to protect the environment. I will be too, there are tons of things that I do that wastes lots of energy and that is bad for the environment.
