Public Gives Input On New Lunenburg Library

People got a sneak peak at the Lunenburg Academy this week.

A public meeting was held for people to see what the new library space will look like.

Deputy Chief Librarian, Jeff Mercer, says they received lots of feedback.

“People are interested in having a community space,” he says. “People are definitely concerned about accessibility, of course. People are thrilled about having some outdoor availability for programming and things like that.”

Mercer says they’re sorting through all the responses.

He says they hope to have a design in place in the next few months.

The library is expected to move into the academy by the end of the year.
