From Night Owl To Early Riser

I’m a former night owl. I spent the first half of my adult life staying up very late and sleeping in until noon.

I was lucky that I didn’t have to get up in the morning – my shift didn’t start until the afternoon.

And I had no desire to ever work the early morning shift at any of the radio stations.

Now, after 20 years of getting up before the crack of dawn (3am) I can say that I’m an early riser.

The next month or two are the best times to be an early riser because when I head to work now I can see the “false dawn” as the sky begins to lighten.

By June 22nd the sun will actually be shining when I start my show.

Also, thanks to streaming and time-shifting I can see the highlights of the ball game or hockey game that went too late for me in the evening the next morning.

Are you an early riser or do you love being a night owl?
