We seem to really put singers and actors up on a pedestal and forget that just like everyone who lives, they will die someday. I think it’s because their such a major part of our lives. Your favorite bands or singers have literally been the soundtrack to your life and when they die it can kind of sting! The same goes with your favorite actor.
You might not of known them personally but their music, actions or talent made it seem like you did and there is a part of you that mourns with their family and friends. It’s especially difficult if you like older music because a lot of the guys and gals in classic rock or pop are getting up there in years! It can be a real shock when one of your favorite rockers dies, even if you were eventually expecting it.
Some celebrity deaths that hit me the hardest were Tom Petty, Prince, Whiney Houston, Charlie Pride and Robin Williams. Of course I was not as sad as I would be if one of my friends or family died but all of those were quite the shock regardless of how old they were!
