So many great stores have disappeared over the last two decades.
I don’t miss all of them. Woolco, Kmart, Zellers, Target, were great but at least we have Walmart now.
I loved the small town department stores like the Metropolitan, Stedmans, and Woolworths.
Consumers Distributing and the BiWay were places you could find great bargains.
The It Store and Sam Francisco had fun things.
But the one I miss the most was Radio Shack. It’s replacement The Source just isn’t the same thing.
Radio Shack had the Tandy line of early computers, and you could be just about any electronic component in the world.
What stores do you miss and why?
