There’s been a lot of discussion online lately with the news that Sam’s Pizza is coming to Bedford.
Sam’s is a Pictou County institution with it’s Pictou County Pizza. The best way to describe a Pictou county pizza is it has brown tomato sauce, spicy thick cut Brothers pepperoni and a thick crust.
Meanwhile Cape Breton folk claim their pizza is the best – it’s known for a very tomatoey sauce, extra cheese, thick crust and long strips of green pepper on the top.
Everyone seems to agree that Halifax pizza is inferior.
It could be time for a South Shore pizza. I’m not sure what that would be, so maybe you could give some suggestions.
What would you put on a South Shore pizza? Some kind of seafood? How about some creamy cucumber? Perhaps some cabbage or sauerkraut?
Or is there already a unique pizza on the South Shore?
