Earlier this week we celebrated Onion Rings Day.
Now that’s a side order that gets no respect. It’s just not as common as it used to be for some reason.
Of course, fries are probably the most common side order, but people on diets or pursuing a more healthy lifestyle now choose soup or a garden salad.
Then there is the surging popularity of poutine.
If you order chicken, a potato salad or macaroni salad might be your choice.
Since I’m a fan of fish and chips and all things cabbage, I’ll choose coleslaw as my favourite side.
