Halifax Police say a high-risk sex offender is living in the city, not rural Nova Scotia.
Forty-two year-old Jamie Alan Goreham was released from the Calgary Correction Centre on January 23 after completing a sentence for sexual assaults and other offenses.
Police believed he would return to live in Shelburne County.
However, authorities say Goreham’s new address is in the Halifax area.
Goreham has criminal convictions dating back to 1991 that include sexual assault and sexual interference.
He has been assessed as a high risk to re-offend.
His victims have included girls under the age of 14.
Goreham is on probation for two years and is required to follow strict conditions.
They include restrictions on any activity involving children under the age of 16, and refraining from drinking or possessing alcohol.
