The South Shore Lumberjacks have made their first trade of the season which will see them send their first overall pick in this year’s draft to the Edmundston Blizzard.
In exchange, the Jacks will receive a 1st round pick (Valley) in the 2022 draft, a 2nd round pick (Campbellton ) in the 2022 draft, and an 8th round pick in the 2023.
This is the first transaction to be completed by the Jacks since former Mooseheads head coach Shawn MacKenzie took over as the team’s Head of Hockey Operations.
The draft which is taking place in Amherst will be live-streamed on Eastlink Community TV this year, with it scheduled to begin on July 15.
