Lunenburg Academy Renovations Nearly Complete

The Lunenburg Academy is ready for the next phase of life.

The building dates back to 1895 and for the most part was a single-purpose, public education building until 2012.

Development coordinator, Scott Burke says the building has undergone more than a million dollars in renovations and about 70 percent of the space is spoken for.

“There is a suite of offices that we have been speaking to a number of organizations about, but that’s still available should somebody want to come in and take that space.”

Burke adds, there are some classrooms also ready for new occupants.

Aside from the library, Class A-float and the music performance school, there are a couple of artists and a cafe set to move in before the end of the year.
