Nova Scotia Music Week will not be coming to Lunenburg or Queens counties this year.
The association made its announcement this week that Nova Scotia Music Week will return to Truro from November 3 to 6.
Events Lunenburg County’s bid was for this year or 2017.
Spokesperson, Joanne Cooper, says they remain optimistic.
“We’re disappointed that we didn’t get it for 2016, but we’re certainly still very, very hopeful that it’s still on the table for 2017 and we have our eyes on that.”
She says the group plans to make some tweaks and strengthen its bid for the 2017 event.
More than 1,000 musicians and industry professionals will attend Music Week.
It was last held in Truro in 2014.
