Stores Of The Past

Over the years stores have come and gone in our area, some last longer than others and some are just plain iconic! I still especially miss the many Zellers locations that were scattered across the province and country! Sears was another popular one and so was Future Shop! I loved the Zellers 50s diner! I saw online that a lady in Cape Breton was selling an old Zeller’s booth! How cool is that!

There were also a variety of local stores that are now gone that I loved! I’m from Shelburne so I can remember Sweet Tea’s in the Shelburne Mall and even Gill’s store which was a staple of Shelburne for years. I think every town and community has a store that is now closed that people look pack at fondly! I want to hear yours. What stores do you miss most? Share some memories!
