Nova Scotia Power had to send out a scammer warning because people have been getting fake calls saying pay your power bill or there will be immediate disconnection.
Oh for the days of the Nigerian Prince emails who wanted you to “front” him some money for a big payoff in the future! (By the way, this oldest of the internet scams still rakes in 3/4 of a million bucks a year in North America)
Every day I receive a notice from my bank that my account is about to expire. I also receive notices from banks I don’t deal with that those accounts are about to expire.
Every month I get two emails from my cable company. One is the forthcoming bill that is owed. (I think that one is legit) The other is that my account is in arrears and is about to be cut off. (that one seems shady)
