Lunenburg MLA Dispels FMH X-Ray Myth

A post doing the round on various South Shore community pages has been dispelled as misinformation by Lunenburg MLA Susan Corkum-Greek.

The post, which was originally posted to Facebook claimed that the X-ray machine at Fishermen’s Memorial Hospital in Lunenburg was so old that replacement parts were no longer available for it. It also claimed that despite being an older machine it remained at the bottom of the provincial list for equipment replacement prioritization.

In a Facebook post of her own Corkum-Greek dispelled both claims as untrue.

The Lunenburg MLA explained that the machine is not in fact that old, having been purchased in 2007, and as such parts for repairs remain available. It also is not at the bottom of the replacement prioritization list but is actually closer to the middle.
