Queens Manor Announces Flu Outbreak

Queens Manor located in Liverpool, NS announced on Thursday that they are currently dealing with an influenza outbreak.

In a post online the senior care home indicated they have two confirmed cases of influenza which qualifies as an outbreak. As a result, Queens Manor has canceled their upcoming Holiday teas which were scheduled to take place on December 8 and 9.

The teas will be rescheduled sometime in the New Year.

In addition to the canceled events under the direction of the Department of Seniors and Long Term Care and Public Health officials, Queens Manor will be restricting visitors at this time, only permitting designated caregivers to enter.

In their post, online Queens Manor indicated they hope to resume normal activities next week, however that will ultimately depend on how the outbreak develops.
