A part of the Lunenburg County Lifestyle Centre is getting an upgrade.
Bird Construction is installing a new splash pad in the BMO Financial Group Aquatic Centre.
Work started on Monday and it’s expected to be operational by May.
General Manager Kevin Benjamin says it’s a great addition.
“It just provides another great feature for families and youth to take part in and another enjoyable feature for everyone in the Aquatic Centre.”
The splash pad comes with different settings including a waterfall and twist and spill, which dumps water on kids’ heads.
Local businesses and groups donated roughly $50,000 to add the new feature to the facility.
