Dalhousie Student Dies From Meningococcal Disease

Nova Scotia Health is investigating two cases of meningicoccal disease at Dalhousie University.

Both students were living in Sheriff Hall on campus.

One of the students died, while the other is in hospital.

Public Health is investigating whether there are any links between the individuals.

A memo to Dal students indicates health officials will contact students required to take further action.

There will be a vaccination clinic for students and staff of Sheriff Hall this weekend.

In early November, a student at Saint Mary’s died from meningitis.
