Extreme Cold, Snow Squalls In Store For N.S. Today

The coldest temperatures felt in years will hit Nova Scotia later today.

Windchill values as low as minus 43 could be felt in some areas.

An Extreme Cold Warning is in effect from Environment Canada.

They say it will be coldest overnight tonight and into tomorrow morning.

The forecaster says frostbite could develop within minutes on exposed skin.

Snow squall watches are in effect for some areas, including the Tri-Counties, the Valley and some areas of Cape Breton.
