Liverpool Curling Club Recieves $236K For Renovations

The Municipality of the District of Queens awarded a major grant worth $236,000 to the Liverpool Curling Club at their most recent council meeting.

The Curling Club was selected as a recipient of a portion of the recent donation the municipality received from the J and W Murphy Foundation, which is earmarked for civic upgrade projects.

The Liverpool Curling Club intends to use the money on installing new solar panels, which they expect to help lower their heating costs and help them achieve their goal of making the facility net zero.

Additionally, the club will use a portion of the funds to make accessibility upgrades which include a new power door and a modular ramp.
