A key fundraiser for a major project at the South Shore Regional Hospital in Bridgewater has pulled in more than $130,000.
CKBW and Country 100.7 partnered with the areas hospital foundation on the 13th annual “Gift from the Heart” Radiothon on Tuesday.
The money will be put toward the redevelopment of South Shore Regional Hospital.
The large scale project will see the expansion of the emergency department and the day surgery unit and endoscopy departments.
In addition, it involves adding a twelve-bed dialysis unit and a long-awaited MRI scanner to the region.
Staff from both Acadia Broadcasting Corporation’s stations in Bridgewater spent the day broadcasting live to help with the fundraiser.
