Lunenburg Seeks Developers For Blockhouse Hill

The Town of Lunenburg is now accepting development proposals for land currently owned by the town on Blockhouse Hill, in hopes of finding a partner interested in developing housing.

The property Lunenburg is looking to sell is a little over 22 acres and is located adjacent to Old Town Lunenburg, slopping towards Lunenburg’s back harbour.

In documents sent out by the town they indicated they would be looking to sell the land to a developer interested in building a multi-unit residential development that includes affordable and accessible housing.

The Request for Proposals is now open and submissions will be accepted up until March 7, 2023.
