Snowfall Warning For Yarmouth, Shelburne Counties

A messy start to the week for Southwestern Nova Scotia.

Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for Yarmouth and Shelburne counties.

Light snow is expected to begin falling Sunday afternoon and will pick up through the evening.

The forecaster says 10-20 centimetres are expected, with 25 centimetres in some areas.

They say the highest snowfall totals will be in the southern most areas, and inland areas will likely only see 5-10 centimetres.

Queens and Digby counties are expected to get 10 centimetres.

The snow is expected to end early Monday morning.

Environment Canada says the snow is expected to be light and fluffy in nature.
