Mooseheads complete sweep of Eagles

The Halifax Mooseheads are the winners of the ‘Battle of Nova Scotia.’

They defeated the Cape Breton Eagles 3-2 last night in Sydney to complete a four-game sweep of their first round playoff series.

Alex Doucet scored the winner while the Mooseheads were shorthanded two men in the second period.

Jordan Dumais and Markus Vidicek had the other goals, and Mathis Rousseau made 29 saves.

Now the Mooseheads await their second round opponent, Games 1 and 2 are at Scotiabank Centre April 14th and 15th.
