Lumberjacks moving to New Brunswick

No more Junior A hockey on the South Shore.

The Lumberjacks are leaving for Bouctouche, New Brunswick next season.

Owner Dave Hinckley announced the move over social media Saturday, the MHL confirmed the news Sunday.

He thanked fans, players, volunteers, staff and sponsors for their support over the years.

The league says the Board of Governors recently met in Moncton and approved the transfer.

The Summerside Western Capitals will move to the Eastlink South Division with the five remaining Nova Scotian teams.
