Digby man charged after assault two others with metal pipe

A Digby man is being charged with aggravated assault after striking two men with a metal pipe.

RCMP responded to a report yesterday, of what was believed to be a stabbing on Golf Course Rd in Mount Pleasant, after the suspect had breached his conditions and broke into a home.

The two victims, known to the man, had serious injuries from what turned out to be a metal pipe, and were taken to hospital.

The 37-year-old suspect is facing several charges including:

Aggravated Assault (2 counts), Break and Enter and Commit, Uttering Threats, Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose and Failure to Comply with Conditions of a Release Order

He is scheduled to appear in court, today.
