Shelburne County wildfire now under control

A week-long wildfire in Shelburne County is now under control.

The Department of Natural Resources says it burned over 56 hectares of land in Little Harbour.

They say some staff, a helicopter and volunteer firefighters remain on scene putting out hotspots.

In a tweet, the department thanked everyone who responded to the fire.

Several people were forced from their homes earlier in the week, but all have since returned.
